I Hate Politics

Puzzle pieces with word Politics

Politics has nothing to do with “public service”. Politics is about using verbal sleight of hand to gain political power. The idea that being a “public servant” some how makes politicians and bureaucrats place the people’s interests ahead of their political self interest is laughable.

The fact that the constitution is now being embraced by the progressive Democrats, when they used it for toilet paper during the Obama administration is evidence that politics is about power.

The Republicans aren’t much better. How can a republican support Trumps idea of tariffs regarding trade? Trumps executive orders that get rid of Obama’s executive orders are fine. But have Republicans questioned any of the other executive orders made by Trump?

The progressive left main stream media is fact checking everything Trump says, after not fact checking anything Obama said for 8 years. (“If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor”, “The Benghazi attack started because of an internet video.”)  There is no progressive left agenda in the media, is there?

EXAMPLES OF POLITICAL BS

-Chuck Schumer talks about Refugees in 2015 and again in 2017. What a difference two years makes.

Do you think Schumer’s tears are real or fake????

-In 2006 Senators Obama, Biden, and Clinton voted for (click here to see vote), The Secure Fence Act of 2006 (click here to read bill). Now they are against any border wall, fence or other structure.

-Bill Clinton wanted to build a wall to keep illegal immigrants way back in the 90’s when he was President.

Listen to this and tell me if this doesn’t sound like Trump 2017.

Liz ‘Fauxcahontas’ Warren Accuses Trump Nominees of ‘Lying’ During Job Applications,. Elizabeth Warren lied about being part Indian when she applied for a professorship at Harvard. She knew how to use the system for personal gain before she became a politician.

-Last year the Republicans passed a bill to repeal Obamacare and sent it to Obama knowing he would veto it. Why don’t they have a bill repealing Obamacare on Trumps desk right now? Maybe they know he will sign it. Establishment Republicans really don’t want Obamacare repealed do they?

CONCLUSION

The grass roots in both parties should agree that the Federal Government has too much power. The Republicans complained about the Federal Gov. having too much power during the 8 years of Obama. The Democrats are complaining that the Federal Government has too much power in the first month of Trumps Presidency. Their both right about the Federal Government having too much power.

The Federal Government has too much power over the States and the people. It just seems more tolerable to the people whose party is in power. Can’t both sides unite to put the chains of the constitution back on the real enemy of individual freedom, the Federal Government?

Unfortunately each side wants to use the position of power when they get voted in. It is only fair they do this  since the other party used the position of power for the previous 8 years to get what they wanted. It is like the Hatfields and McCoys. Neither side knows who started the escalation of power. And neither side wants to be the one who rolls back Federal power. Until grass roots members in each party agree to roll back Federal power, nothing will get done. Because we know politicians want to expand and wield the power of Government.

The FBI Is Using Lousy Software To Derail FOIA Requests, Law Suit Claims, at wired.com. Government agencies are never happy to comply with Freedom Of Information Act requests. They use many tactics to slow down the process of turning over the information that is requested. The FBI is being charged with using outdated software system to slow down the search process. Does the FBI use outdated technology to find information about citizens? No chance. They only use the outdated technology to protect themselves. The incentive to protect their status quo position and/or make their agencies power grow is the most important incentive for individuals in government. Being a “public servant” doesn’t over ride this incentive.

The Arrogance Of One-Party Government In California, by Thomas Lifson, at americanthinker.com. From the article: “The California Senate voted 28-8 to exempt itself form gun-control laws that apply to the rest of the populace. They are worthy to pack heat for personal protection, and the masses must wait for the police.” Another example of “public servants” exempting themselves from the rules we serfs have to follow. These politicians have no incentive to act differently. Why? because there is no fear of loosing their elected position. The Democrat party wins every election in California. Republicans don’t gloat. If you had been in power as long as the Democrats have, you would be exempting yourself from your own laws. Incentives matter!

Democrats Are Really Worried That You Can’t Afford Pokemon Go, at thelibertarianrepublic.com. This is our fault! There would be no incentive for politicians to do things like this if ‘we the people’ wouldn’t accept property stolen from our fellow citizens. They want more power! Don’t be an enabler!

Hillary Clinton Complains About Being Held To A Higher Standard Than Everyone Else, at michellmalkin.com. This could be a headline from the Onion. Higher standard! She couldn’t dig a tunnel deep enough to get under the standard for her behavior.

Harry Reid: Trump Should Receive Fake Intelligence Briefings. He Can’t Be Trusted, at businessinsider.com. Hillary is the one that put classified information in danger of being hacked when she conducted State Department business on her private email server. This act alone would keep her form getting a top secret security clearance if she was one of us. But remember, she is held to a “higher” standard than everyone else.

Trump Just Got Hillary To Admit Her E-Mails Are A National Security Issue, by Sean Davis, at thefederalist.com. If the DNC emails were hacked, why would anyone think Hillary’s server wasn’t hacked? If Russia or some other country has Hillary’ emails, do you think they will use them to blackmail her if she becomes President? Or do you think they will use them to try to torpedo her candidacy? Does the answer to these last two questions depend on the RNC or Trumps electronic communications having been hacked by a foreign country? Remember when the people said Bill Clinton’s affairs put the country at risk because of the possibility he could be blackmailed were thought to be stupid? Why would we place any amount of trust in people who have power over us?

An article for my anti gun friends who think I’m crazy for thinking the left wants to ban guns. When they ask me why people, like me, don’t want “common sense” gun laws. I tell them for the same reason the left doesn’t want any “common sense” law restricting abortion. Once the camel gets its nose under the tent, there is no stopping it.

“I’m From The Government And I’m Here To Help.”

December 16, 2013

We’ve been told that Government workers and bureaucrats are public servants. The stories below show that these public servants aren’t really interested in helping us, there more interested in helping themselves. Government regulations and licensing laws should be done away with because they set up road blocks for individuals to freely exchange on the market. It creates a hampered market. These laws are set up to increase Government power over the individual. What do these laws actually do? Here is a short list,  1) They raise money to fund the bureaucracy through fees and fines. 2) They protect the incumbent businesses from competition. 3) They allow bureaucrats to wield power over the masses.  These interventions in cities and towns across the country is a miniature version of the crony capitalism that happens on a larger scale at the federal level.

BEGGING IS PROTECTED, SELLING IS ILLEGAL

Watch this video below of an 11-year-old girl who was trying to sell mistletoe to help raise money for her braces. The authorities told her she could beg for money but not sell her mistletoe for money. Read article here.

GOVERNMENT IS AN UNWANTED BUSINESS PARTNER

In this video the cops shut down the lemonade stand of 3 girls trying to raise money to go to the water park. They are supposed to have a business license, along with food and vendors permits to operate a lemonade stand. These permits and licenses would cost these girls $50 dollars a day plus $180 dollars a year. How much lemonade do you have to sell in a day just to cover the cost of complying with the bureaucratic rules. These girls didn’t know that they had a not so silent business partner.

IT’S LIKE A MAFIA PROTECTION RACKET

This creative entrepreneur finally closes the doors on her viable business. Why?  Because the harassment by Chicago bureaucrats was too high a cost to pay for the “privilege” of doing business in Chicago. I don’t think the bureaucrats understand the private sector is what funds their ability to do stupid things, like harassing businesses to the point that they close their doors. Paying bribes to bureaucrats is a consequence of too much regulation. In third world countries paying bribes is considered a cost of doing business. I saw This story at Mark J. Perry’s Carpe Diem Blog.

How the young kids in these videos will be affect by their run in with Government will not be known for many years. They will see Government as an instrument of force used to take their individual liberty away. The question is, will they fight for their individual liberty, or will they go along with Government intrusion just to get along. Actually that is the choice we all have to make. Either stand up and be counted or stay seated and don’t make waves.

In this Related Article by Walter Block, How the Market Creates Jobs, And The Government Destroys Them, he talks about licensing laws and how they affect employment. Here is an excerpt. “When the government bestows legal status on a profession and passes a law against competitors, it creates unemployment. For example, who lobbies for the laws which prevent just anyone from giving a haircut? The haircutting industry—not to protect the consumer from bad haircuts, but to protect themselves against competition.”
