Scientists Have Debunked These 5 Common Myths About Red Meat, at businessinsider.com. First, I posted this because the video made me hungry for a medium rare steak. Second, these myths about red meat had to have come from some other “scientist”. I guess science is up for debate.

The Corruption Of Science, by William O’Keefe, at economicpolicyjournal.com. Everything is political, even science. Here is an excerpt from the article, “I want to …talk about … the rise of what has been called consensus science. I regard consensus science as an extremely pernicious development that ought to be stopped cold in its tracks. Historically, the claim of consensus has been the first refuge of scoundrels; it is a way to avoid debate by claiming that the matter is already settled. …Let’s be clear: the work of science has nothing whatever to do with consensus. Consensus is the business of politics.”

The Nightmarish Politics Of Ebola, by John Cassidy, at newyouker.com. Everything  is political, from the name of the Washington Redskins, to Ebola. As much as I hate politics, it is part of  the reality we live in. Even this article trying to decry the politics of Ebola, is a political article. When it comes to analysis of any event, the first question the cable news anchors ask is, “How will this help or hurt the (President, republicans, democrats, congress)” pick one. I don’t care about Ebola politically. I care about Ebola from an epidemiological stand point. When everything is politicized, Government is to big and intrusive. We are living in the chaotic middle ground between central planning and individual freedom.

The Increasing Precision And Efficiency Of Revolutionary Drilling Technologies Has Made US World’s Greatest Producer, by Mark J. Perry at carpediemblog. The US is now the leader in oil and natural gas production thanks to entrepreneurs and technology. Supplying more oil to the market has helped drop the price of oil. The law of  supply and demand is right again. Drill baby drill.

More Schumpeterian Innovation In Ride-Sharing Service Uber, And Another Reason Big Taxi Is Doomed, by Mark J. Perry, at carpediemblog. The upstart competitor (Uber) is putting its efforts into finding ways to serve the consumer better, which in turn expands its business. The status quo monopoly (Taxi Cartel) puts its efforts into trying to keep the upstart competitor out of the market. The consumer will decide which strategy is the best.

The 10 Deadliest Jobs In The US, at economicpolicyjournal.com. Producing a higher standard of living has a cost in lives. But a higher standard of living not only saves lives, it also makes it possible to support a higher population.

Irresponsible ‘Education‘ , and We Can Still Salvage Enough Of The Constitution To Remain A Free And Democratic Nation, by Thomas Sowell, at jewishworldreview.com. These are two great articles by my favorite author, and are truly must reads. Thomas Sowell always makes you think. He also makes you debate, with yourself, about how you arrived at the way you think about different subject matters.

How Michelle Obama’s Daughters Eat vs. The Rules She Has Set Down For Public School Kids, at economicpolicyjournal.com. The fact that the ruling elite don’t have to abide by the rules they impose on the benighted masses is one thing. The more important point is, a  Government that has the power to make this mandate has too much power, and is therefore tyrannical.

How The Real World Reacts When Minimum Wage Laws Raise The Cost Of Labor Above What It Produces, at economicpolicyjournal.com. Here is the money quote from the article,“If government could transform unskilled entry-level positions into middle-income jobs, the Soviet Union would be today’s dominant world economy. Spain and Greece would be thriving.”

Mayo Clinic To Bring A Medical Kiosk To An Employer Near You, by Jeff Hansel, at m.postbulliten.com. Health care “affordability” would have taken care of itself if politicians in the Democrat party would have passed legislation that moved healthcare toward a free market system instead of passing “The Affordable Care Act”. This article is an example of markets reducing costs and providing a better product for the consumer.

Obamacare Causes Wal-Mart To Cut Benefits For Some Part Time Workers, by John Lott, by johnrlott.blogspot.com. This is the opposite of what you read about in the above post regarding the Mayo Clinic. Government intervention in the free market produces outcomes that have higher costs and inferior products.

3D Printing Entire Homes And Neighborhoods May Be Just Around The Corner, by Michael Krieger, at libertyblitzkrieg.com. Technology is in the process of changing how we do things in ways we can’t even imagine. Technology is advancing  faster than Government can regulate it (the fracking revolution is another example). This gives me hope that at some point, our current experiment with big government will someday be a chapter in history that people will read about and say, “what made them think that would work”.

Common People Do Not Carry This Much Currency”. How Police Justify Theft via Civil Asset Forfeiture Laws, at zerohedge.com. Taking money without probable cause, is only going to escalate the tension between police and citizens. Watch the video in this post, it makes great points in a humorous way.

Hong Kong Ranks First In Economic Freedom, The US Is Twelfth, at freetheworld.com. We were ranked second in ‘2000’ , but a decade of regulation, Fed counterfeiting, loss of property rights, and growth of Government has us cheering, “we’re number 12, we’re number 12”! We are not moving toward more individual, economic, and political freedom.

How The US Ranks In Corporate Tax Rates (Not Pretty), at economicpolicyjournal.com. The US has the highest corporate tax rate in the world! We’re number 1, We’re number 1!

Upcoming Anniversary: Oct. 1st Will Mark 18 Years Of No Global Warming, by Barbara Hollingsworth, at cnsnews.com. The evidence doesn’t match the chicken little rhetoric.

A Decade After Welcoming Wind, States Reconsider, by Sean Murphy, at eaglefordtexas.com. Here is a quote form the article, “Today, many of the same political leaders who initially welcomed the wind industry want to regulate it more tightly, even in red states like Oklahoma, where candidates regularly rail against government interference.” Politicians used Government subsidies and tax breaks to allow an industry to exist that would have probably had problems competing in a free market. Government picked the winner. Now they want to regulate an industry that wouldn’t have existed without the previous regulation. Here is my advice; repeal all regulations pertaining to wind, and allow the market to pick the winners and losers.

Reasons For Political Hope, by Bruce Thornton, at victorhanson.com. I know it’s hard to believe, but I am optimistic that freedom will win out over tyranny. It may not seem like it right now but there are signs that we are starting to wake up.

No America Isn’t Communist; It’s  Only 79% Communist, at zerohedge.com. Look at the 10 planks of The Communist Manifesto and tell me we aren’t traveling down the collectivist road. We’re playing incremental Russian Roulette with our freedoms.

Will You Soon Be Taxed To Use The Internet, at economicpolicyjournal.com. A moratorium keeping state and local governments from taxing the internet is set to expire if congress doesn’t act to extend it.

US Government Promises To Forgive Student Debt…If You Work For Them, at zerohedge.com. This is how bureaucrats create more  believers in Government central planning. They will eventually mandate what a students major should be in order to get the college loan that will eventually be forgiven (at tax payers expense).

The Latest Insane Scare: The Pull Of Gravity Is Decreasing Because Of Climate Change, at economicpolicyjournal.com. How do you measure the pull of Gravity?

Good Work Fed: US Now More Unequal Than Roaring Twenties And Ancient Rome, at davidstockmanscontracorner.com. Electronically printing counterfeit money by the Fed benefits the people who have access to it first. The rest of us lose purchasing power as the counterfeit money works its way through the economy. Our labor buys fewer goods and services.

What Do Uber And School Choice Have In Common? by Mark J. Perry, at Carpe Diem Blog. Uber and school choice are threats to the  taxi and public school monopolies, which is why they will fight Uber and school choice to the bitter end. Competition produces better products at lower prices, benefiting consumers.

Sensible Swiss: 62 Percent Of Voters Reject Replacing Private Health Insurance With Public System, at johnrlottblogspot.com. I guess what we did with Obamacare served as an example to the Swiss of what not to do!

Roll Over Plan: Treasury Debt Increasing, by Terence P. Jeffery, at cnsnews.com. Every year the Treasury has to redeem debt that comes due, by issuing new debt. It is similar to someone paying off a credit card with another credit card. This year the Treasury issued $8.3 trillion of new debt, in order to redeem $7.5 trillion in debt that came due. This means the Treasury (tax payers) went in the hole for another $777 billion. Oh the magic of compound interest. Look at the chart at the bottom of the article.

Drone Footage Reveals Just How Massive Hong Kong’s Protests Really Are, at economicpolicyjournal.com. After 156 years of relative freedom under British rule, Hong Kong was returned to China in 1997. Now Hong Kong wants freedom from China (read here). Hong Kong has a culture of freedom similar to what colonial America had. We fought the Revolutionary war to seceded from England. Hong Kong may be able to secede from China without going to war, much like Eastern Europe seceded from the Soviet Union in 1989 when the Berlin Wall came down. We have our own battle for freedom going on in America today. Will we lose more individual freedom to ever expanding Government, or gain back what we’ve lost by shrinking Government?

Economic Policy Treats Symptoms, Not Underlying Causes, by Logan Albright, at mises.ca. Individuals in Government pass laws to solve a percieved problem in the economy. The new regulation creates an unintended consequence. These individuals then try to regulate the unintended consequence, instead of repealing the previous law which created the new problem. They are like dogs chasing their tails.

Who Wants War, by Thomas Sowell, at jewishworldreview.com. Here are the money quotes from the article, “Barack Obama has done more than anyone else to promote the dangerous illusion that we can choose whether to have a war or not. But our enemies have already made that choice. Retired Marine Corps General James Mattis said: “No war is over until the enemy says it’s over. We may think it’s over, we may declare it over, but in fact, the enemy gets a vote.”

Where The Housing “Recovery” Is, In One Chart, at zerohedge.com. Electronically printed counterfeit money always benefits the people who receive it first. The people who can afford the $1 million plus homes are working for those who have access to the counterfeit  money first.

Peter Thiel “Fixes” America’s Anti-Business Policies In 6 Words, at zerohedge.com. The six words are, “Get Government Out Of The Way“. This was the Co Founder of Pay Pal, Peter Thiels, response when asked; what kind of support do businesses need, especially small businesses, to flourish?

Climate Marchers Leave Trail Of Trash Everywhere, by Greg Campbell, at tpnn.com. The global warming cult is the do as I say and not as I do crowd. They have to trash the planet in order to save the planet.

The Thought Police In The Climate Movement, at economicpolicyjournal.com. Robert Kennedy Jr. wants laws that punish global warming skeptics. He wants people to go to jail for what they think. Totalitarians never want to be challenged about their positions.

5 Reasons To Counter Climate Change Regulation, by Diana Furchtgott-Roth, at marketwatch.com. Only wealthy countries can clean up after themselves. These regulations will shrink the over all wealth of our country. Therefore the passage of these regulations will lead to more pollution.

Seattle To Fine Residence, And Businesses For Wasting Food, at economicpolicyjournal.com. An example of central planners out of control. Garbage collectors are going to be allowed to inspect people’s trash and if food and compostable materials make up 10% of the garbage they will be fined. No this is not from The Onion, they couldn’t make this up.

Best Headline Of The Month, at economicpolicyjournal.com. “SYRIA IS 7th (MUSLIM) COUNTRY BOMBED BY 2009 NOBEL PEACE PRIZE WINNER. This is what happens when utopian visions run head first into reality.

VIRTUAL REALITY. I saw this at theburningplatform.com.

Radical Math, at radicalmath.org. You would think math would be a subject that could not be propagandized by the left. But you would be wrong. Here is a quote from the Radical Math website: “Join educators, parents, students, activists, and community members from around the country for a 3-day conference to explore the connections between math education and social justice. We will explore many questions, challenges, and opportunities to work toward social justice through math education.” We can never rest in our quest to keep what’s left of our freedom and regain the freedoms we’ve lost, because the progressive left will never rest.

Peer-to-Peer Car Rental Startup FlightCar Raises Another 13.5 Million, by Ryan Lawler, at techcrunch.com. Here is another example of the market benefiting the consumer, and not the status quo crony’s. FlightCar has lots near airports around the country. Travelers can park for free for the duration of their trip. Their cars are then used by visitors to the airport, at a discounted rate, instead of paying higher rates charged by traditional rental car companies. Both parties benefit. One party doesn’t have to pay for long-term parking, and the other party pays a discount for a rental car.

The Simple Economics Of Adjunct Abuse, at mungowitzend.blogspot.com. Why is the pay and benefits for College adjuncts so low? The supply of adjuncts is high, and the demand for adjuncts if low. Universities recruit students for their MA and PhD programs. The students aren’t told the demand for these advanced degrees is marginal at best. Producing more than the market demands lowers the price of the good or service. Economic forces are always at work.

Global Un-Warming? Antarctic Sea-Ice Reaches Record High Levels, at zerohedge.com. Another example of reality going against the conventional wisdom of the global warming cult. Here is a quote form the article, “CEO of the Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems CRC, Tony Worby, said the warming atmosphere is leading to greater sea ice coverage by changing wind patterns.” It must be nice to be able to use global warming as a universal excuse for every weather scenario.

Paul Krugman Explained, at zerohedge.com. Keynesian economist Paul Krugman is like the global warming cultists, he doesn’t have to be intellectually consistent.

Obama Met Privately With Top Journalists Before ISIS War Speech, by Michael Calderone, at economicpolicyjournal.com. I wonder if the journalists were given tips on how to propagandize the ISIS speech? Memorize the list of these unbiased journalists for future reference.

Castro Valley Winery Fined $155,000 For Using Volunteers, by Rebecca Parr, at mercurynews.com. Westover Winery is out of business after being fined $155,000 for using labor that volunteered. Here is an excerpt from the article, “The volunteers, some of them learning to make wine while helping out, were illegally unpaid laborers, and Westover Winery should have been paying them and paying worker taxes, the state Department of Industrial Relations said.” Why would people voluntarily work for no pay? Answer: Because they thought what they were getting out of working at this vineyard was more valuable than the labor they expended and also more valuable than the next best use of their time. Then government steps in and uses it’s coercive power to imposes they’re special wisdom on the people who voluntarily made this arrangement. I saw this at Carpe Diem Blog.

8 Subliminal Messages Hidden In Corporate Logos, at economicpolicyjournal.com. Individuals are really clever.

The World’s Largest Urban Zipline, at youtube.com. These people are insane.

The Economics Of American Pickers, by Joel Poindexter, at mises.org. There is a lot of depth in this short article that explains the economic principles in play on the History Channel Show, American Pickers.

11 Ways You Know You Live In A Country Run By Idiots, at theburningplatform.com. Only eleven! I’m sure we can come up with a few more. How about this:  If the incentives created by The Affordable Care Act raise the price of health care, you live in a country run by idiots.

New York Schools Drop Michelle O’s Lunch Program, by Victor Skinner, at eagnews.org. More schools are dropping FLOTUS’s school lunch program because sales are down. But in true totalitarian fashion FLOTUS and POTUS are in lock step in their attempt to force kids to eat healthier (healthier as defined by whom). Here is the money quote from the article,  “Meanwhile, lawmakers in the U.S. House of Representatives are considering legislation to provide exemptions from the lunch regulations for schools that are losing substantial revenue, though Michelle Obama has vowed to fight for her pet project “until the bitter end. President Obama has also promised to veto the legislation if it makes it to his desk, the Associated Press reports.”

The Myth Of Obamacare’s Affordability, by Casey Mulligan, at economicpolicyjournal.com. As I said when the Affordable Care Act was passed, “If you think health care is expensive now, just wait until it becomes affordable”.

Socialist Venezuela Has World’s Largest Oil Reserves And Goes From Oil Power House To Oil Importer, by Mark J. Perry, at aei-ideas.org. If you want to destroy a productive industry, allow central planners to use their “special” knowledge to make it better. Read about why socialism is doomed to fail, in this article, “Why Socialism Won’t Work? Human Nature“.

What Ever Happened To Global Warming, at economicpolicyjournal.com. When I was in high school in the early 70’s, scientists would have been considered “global warming deniers”, because they thought the earth was cooling.

Competition Heats Up In The NYC Taxi Market As Gett Introduces $10 Rides In Manhattan, by Mark J. Perry, at aei-ideas.org. Competition in free markets means lower prices for consumers. Unfortunately many consumers unwittingly vote against their own self-interest when they vote for politicians who are for central planning and against free markets.

Registration Records Are Used For Confiscating Guns. Government Retroactively Changing Its Mind About What Is A Legal Gun, at johnlottblogspot.com. Individuals in Government who were supposed to enforce the law, are the ones who are breaking the law.

Issa Accuses Holder Spokesman Of Attempting To Conspire With Democrats On IRS Documents, by Colby Itkowitz, at washingtonpost.com. Eric Holders communication director called GOP staffers by mistake. Thinking he was talking to Democrats, he asked how he could get materials, about the IRS targeting of conservative groups, to interested reporters, before they were sent to the Republican majority, so the agency could spin the story first. This is why I hate politics. The good of the party overrides what is good for individuals.

Five Feminist Myths That Will Not Die, by Christina Hoff Summers, at time.com. Read the five myths, or watch Christina Hoff Summers talk about the five myths on this video here.

Things I Don’t Understand, by Walter Williams, at jewishworldreview.com. If Dr. Williams doesn’t understand these things, neither do I.

Anti-Obama Care Practice Booms, Along With A Growing Network Of Market Based Providers, by Mark J. Perry, at aei-ideas.org. As I’ve said before, Obamacare is going to create a true free market in health care because the patient and the doctor will not a have a third-party payer to screw up the price system. Competition will lower prices and raise the quality. We will end up with two healthcare systems, one will be a free market system and the other will be a government-run system consisting of Medicare, Medicaid, Obamacare, and the VA.

Investment bank, Moelis & Company, Announces  Appointment of Eric Cantor As Vice President And Member Of The Board Of Directors, at moelis.com. Crony capitalists hire former “Public Servants” like Cantor to help them wade through the maze of government regulations. This is like insider trading in information about the workings of government. If Government didn’t have as much power as it does, there would be no need to hire former politicians. His expertise doesn’t come cheap (read here). but is probably a bargain.

Climatology Crony Al Gore Warned In His Nobel Prize Speech That The Arctic Ice Cap Might Be Ice Free By Now, (Not Quite), at economicpolicyjournal.com. Why do we believe chicken littles like Gore. He has made a good living selling global warming snake oil ( read here).

Police Lock Down California Campus Because Of Man Carrying Umbrella, at theburningplatform.com. Can’t people use common sense to evaluate situations before they call authorities? Has Government made us so feckless we don’t even know the difference between an umbrella and a gun.

NY Farm Yanks Wedding Ceremonies After $13 Thousand Fine For Refusing Lesbian Wedding, William Bigelow, at brietbart.com. Two things I have a hard time understanding about this situation. 1) Why is the owner of property, in this case the wedding service, forced to “voluntarily” provide this service. If they make the decision to not sell their service to someone, they should suffer the consequences of that decision, not be forced to make the trade. 2) Why would you use Government to force someone to do business with you when they don’t want to? Do you have the right to the another persons approval? And what is their approval worth if it isn’t given voluntarily?

Guy Who Tried To Shut Down Kids Lemonade Stand Gets A Taste Of His Own Medicine. And That Totally Sucks, by Katherine Munga Ward, at reason.com. You shouldn’t wish Government intervention on your worst enemy.

Asian Property Prices Are Falling, “As If There Is A Global Financial Crisis“. at zerohedge.com. Another example of malinvestment created by central banks. The liquidation process is the cure for the previous malinvestment. Unfortunately Governments aren’t going to let this cure happen. They will try to artificially prop up the previous  malinvestments, using more counterfeit money and keeping  interest rates low, so the pain of the liquidation can pushed off to some date in the future.

If Police Come To Your Door Without A Warrant, Shut Them Down Like This Guy, by Matt Agorist, at thefreethoughtprogect.com. The police can legally lie to gain access to your home. Don’t let them in without a warrant. Government agents have used up all of the good intention chips they may have once had.

If Norman Rockwell Depicted America Today, at theburningplatform.com.

Tattoo Removal Business Booming As Inked Up Teens Grow Up, by Sophia Harris, at cbc.ca.com. This shows value is subjective. Not only do different people value the same thing differently at different times, the same person values the same thing differently at different times. The tattoo hasn’t changed it is the same as when the person got it, The only thing that has changed is the value the person places on the tattoo at a different time. I always thought this could be a viable business one day. For some people tattoos are monuments to the ignorance of  their youth.

Watch 11 Member SWAT Team Raid The House Of A 68-Year Old Grandmother Using Stun Grenades, by Mark J. Perry, at aei-ideas.org. This video shows why the respect for law enforcement is tanking. When a situation like this happens all cops are painted with this broad brush. When citizens resist orders given by cops citizens are painted with this broad brush by cops. The lack of trust on both sides escalates and we reach a point where cooler heads will never prevail, because neither side can back down. What is the answer? Our politicians and bureaucrats have to be held accountable by the law, or citizens won’t comply.

Students Irate Over Food Bully Michelle Obama, by Chris Rossini, at economicpolicyjournal.com. Chris Rossini hits the nail on the head with this comment, “After eating their rations, the kids are forced to sit through hours of why Leviathan is so great and important“.  Also this,  Junk Food Fights: Students Tee Off On Michelle Obama, at vocativ.com. Kids are using social media to show their disdain for being told what to eat.

The War On Ridesharing, at economicpolicyjournal.com. The market will eventually win against the status quo monopoly.

The Guy Who Tutors Kids On Skype For $1000 An Hour, by Caroline Moss, at economicpolicyjournal.com. This is the future of education. The most talented teacher in a particular field can teach every student in America by using the internet. In the past the best teacher in a particular field could only teach the students who were taking his classes every day.

What Is Obama Doing With All Those Multi-Billions In Bank Fine Money? at economicpolicyjournal.com. Here is the two most important points in the article, 1) “Now, I strongly believe that individuals who broke the law and deliberately wrote bad mortgage securities should be punished….corporations are different from individuals. So bust the individuals. Don’t crush investors. And finally end Too Big to Fail.” 2)”.. no one even remotely knows how these penalty-payment numbers are calculated. And the federal government’s disbursement of these funds is equally mysterious…. a lot of money has gone to states run by Democratic governors.” Why does this money go to the State and not to the victims of the crime?

The Real Retail Story: The Consumer Economy Remains At A Recessionary Level, at zerohedge.com. If production comes before consumption, there can be no such thing as a consumer economy. There is only a production economy. The ability to consume can only come from production. If consumption is at recessionary levels, than production is at recessionary levels. The Fed has destroyed the production economy by electronically printing counterfeit money and artificially keeping interest rates at zero percent.

The Media And The Mob, by Thomas Sowell, at jewishworldreview.com. Dr. Sowell weighs in on the Ferguson situation as only he can.

WHEN MARKETS ARE ALLOWED TO WORK, CONSUMERS WIN.

Jamie King Took An Uber Car To Give Birth, Youtube Video From Late Night With Conan O’Brien. Actress Jamie King said, “I know that they say they’re three minutes away, and an ambulance, you don’t know. So I can rely on Uber. I took an Uber there.” Satisfied customers are the reason Uber will succeed.

Peer-To-Peer Lending Is Poised To Grow, by Yuliya Demyanyk, at clevelandfed.org. New technology is bringing buyers and sellers together more efficiently.

TeVido BioDevices 3D-Prints Skin And Fat Grafts For Breast Cancer Survivors, by Sara Ines Calderon, at techcrunch.com. 3-D printing using fat and skin for grafts “that stay alive and not need to be redone over time”. Truly unbelievable.

UNTIL GOVERNMENT  KNOWS WHATS BEST FOR CONSUMERS.

Salt Lake City Slaps Rideshare Drivers With $6,500 Fines, by Lee Davidson, at sltrib.com. Government regulation is the only thing that can harm Uber.

GLOBAL WARMING?

Winnipeg Still Dealing With 18 Metre Snow Pile In August, by Josh Elliott, at ctvnews.ca. Street maintenance manager Jim Berezowsky said, “… this year, he’s seeing more snow than usual. “It is significantly higher than in years past… “We didn’t receive the extreme heat that we usually do.”

Global Warming Computer Models Confounded As Antarctic Sea Ice Hits New Record High, by David Rose, at dailymail.co.uk. Since  Global Warming disciples can’t get the weather cooperate with their models, they’ll  have to use propaganda to make their global warming models fit every weather event.

US Having Coolest Summer On Record, at stevegoddard.wordpress.com. We have to start pumping more greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere in order to get temperatures back up to “normal” levels.

GOVERNMENT SURVEILLANCE

Today’s Surveillance Society Beyond Orwellian, at libertypenblog.blogspot.com. Why are individuals in Government making the internet a surveillance apparatus? Because big Government attracts and produces individuals who are “unscrupulous and uninhibited” which are both totalitarian tendencies.

California “Kill Switch” Bill Could Be Used To Disrupt Protests, by Jake LaPerruque, at cdt.org. I saw this at libertypenblog.blogspot.com. Politicians and bureaucrats don’t like an informed citizenry.

SOME THOUGHTS ABOUT FERGUSON MISSOURI

*This is starting to remind me of the Duke rape case. It fits a preconceived narrative, until the facts finally come out.

*Why did the race hustlers and the media pick this particular story. Why didn’t they pick this story, Michael Blair Shot by Police in Fort Bend County Texas (watch video). {Family calls for help after their mentally ill son locks himself in the bathroom threatening to hurt himself}

*The break down of the rule of law starts when politicians and bureaucrats ignore the law that they mandate the citizens follow.  Citizens will start to defy the law, and a gradual escalation starts on both sides. This didn’t just start last week.

*It’s hard to believe anyone in this situation is telling the truth. The truth is the foundation not just of how we interact with each other, it is the foundation of our ethics, our morals, and the rule of law. When the foundation collapses, so does the structure that is built on it.

*Politicians, bureaucrats, and journalists are trying to separate us into as many groups as possible in order to pit us against each other. This allows them to control us by controlling the narrative. We have to understand that there are two and only two groups; 1) politicians and bureaucrats who have access to the sword government power, and 2) we who are expected to obey the sword of Government power. The American Revolution was fought to give the individual sovereignty over the Government. This has been flipped upside down, and it’s time to flip it back.

Institute For Justice Takes On Unconscionable ‘Forfeiture Machine,’ That Turns Cops And Prosecutors  Into Robbers, by Mark J. Perry, at aei-ideas.org. People get worn down by the States bureaucratic maze and deep pockets. People who haven’t committed a crime give up rather than continuing the fight. This is another example of the break down of the rule of law.

Support Shaneen Allen, at economicpolicyjournal.com. Shaneen Allen got a concealed carry permit in Pennsylvania because she got robbed twice last year coming home from work. After getting pulled over in New Jersey for a traffic violation, she told the officer she had a concealed carry permit and a gun, not knowing the Pennsylvania permit wasn’t recognized in New Jersey. She now faces three years in prison. The Judge, and the cop, told her telling the truth got her in trouble. The moral of the story: Don’t volunteer information to cops, it can and will be used against you.

US Postal Service: Over $47 Billion In Losses In The Past Decade And Counting, at zerohedge.com. “Neither snow not rain nor heat nor operating in the red…..” Even though the Post Office is a Government agency, it is an example of how a crony capitalist business works. It generates revenue, but not enough to cover it’s costs and therefore must be subsidized by tax payers. Where as the Post Office started as a Government agency, a crony capitalist business starts as a free market entity and lobbies government for help via subsidy and regulation.

Creating Disrespect For The Law, by Milton Friedman, at libertypenblog.blogspot.com. This short video is from Milton Friedman’s 1980 Free To Choose series on PBS. The last half of the  video about the lady starting her own mail delivery service is interesting considering the above article.

District Drops Federal Lunch Program, by Jessica Brown, at cincinnati.com. The Federal Government gets people addicted to federal money just like a drug pusher gets someone addicted to heroin. Fort Thomas Independent schools in Kentucky was able to kick the heroin addiction. The lure of federal tax dollars is too tempting for most school districts to resist.

Remember When Obama Promised He Would Not Take Vacations If Elected President, youtube video. I don’t have any problem with Presidents, congressmen, and senators taking vacations.
