Of course the response by the central planners is not to repeal the ban. They are going to make rules that deal with the unintended consequence of their previous intervention. This is the familiar pattern of all central planners.

South Carolina Lowers Confederate Flag , And An Era Ends, at nytimes.com. I don’t want to get into the R vs. D argument, but here are some facts that the NY Times forgot to put in their article about the Confederate flag and South Carolina. The flag was raised in 1961 when Democrat Ernest Hollins was Governor of the State. By the way, the state house of representatives was made up of 124 democrats and 0 republicans. And another fact, the state senate was made up of 41 democrats and 0 republicans. Today the Confederate flag was taken down under a republican governor, with the state house and senate being made up of a majority of republicans. I need some help here. I was under the impression from the media and democrat politicians that republicans were the racists and democrats were the angels! I wish the media treated both parties like they treat the republican party. In other words I wish the media would just do their job!

The Independent Payment Advisory Board is who will decide if you life is not worth the expensive medical treatments that you need. CONCLUSION

What is the real meaning of the Fourth of July? It isn’t about the parties, parades, and fireworks. The Fourth of July is a day to remember why our founders decided to break away from tyrannical government. (Read yesterdays post, July Fourth – Our Choice: Liberty or Tyranny!) They knew there was a high cost in doing this but they must have thought the benefits that came from individual liberty and limited government was greater. We are facing the same kind of tyranny today. Do enough of us have the same spirit of resistance as our founders did in 1776? History will someday tell us the answer to that question.

It shows GDP growth in the 23 quarters after the bottoms of the 8 recessions dating back to 1961. This “recovery” is the worst, and the tech bubble of 2001 is the second worst. These were both bubbles caused by cheap credit and electronically printed counterfeit money. The Fed can’t even print a good GDP number.

So even though consumers haven’t purchased the cars they are still counted as sold. You can show increasing sales by stuffing your cars onto dealers lots.

The Federal Reserve supplied this demand with electronically printed counterfeit money. This brought future consumption into the present. What will replace this future consumption when its time comes? If you look at the chart in the article, you can see the government induced boom and corresponding bust. This boom and bust shows how real future consumption was moved forward in time, followed by less demand as the future became the present. A lot of future demand for goods and services was and is being used up by mortgage payments. Fed counterfeiting and Keynesian government spending distorts markets, enriches those who receive the counterfeit money first, and wastes scarce resources.

State and local government have underfunded pension funds for years thinking they could cover the future shortfall by raising taxes. Since the tax payer is tapped out, politicians are going to fund pensions by issuing more debt. How do you think this will turn out?

Government regulations can’t trump the laws of economics. Economic forces are always in the process of correcting these government interventions, and they always prevail in the long run.

Will these banks pay their fine by withdrawing electronically printed counterfeit money that is on deposit at the Federal Reserve?

LETS START WITH TECH

Electroloom Is a 3D Fabric Printer In The Making, by Natasha Lomas, at techcrunch.com. This is mind-blowing. Even when I watched the video of the 3D printer in action, I thought, what am I watching? The one question I had when I watched the video was; Why did they go to China to make Electroloom into a more usable product? Why couldn’t they do what they wanted to do here? Was Government regulations a reason they couldn’t finish there work here? I’m just asking, I don’t know why.
